This project for the new 'green' Meridian building in Wellington called for cafe chairs that were both stylish and sustainable.
We recommended Thonet Melnikov chairs in stained dark oak, made using renewable European beech timber and sealed with water based lacquers. The chairs are imported from Poland, disassembled in Europe and shipped in components to increase the number of chairs per crate, minimising each chair's carbon footprint.
